Lucky Girl Screening

January 4th Jules Kobelin screened her Lucky Girl DVD. The night turned out to be a success. Everyone invited came to support, watch and discuss the documentary. There was a fare amount of chit chat and small talk as people arrived. Greetings were found everywhere you turned. The basement quickly filled with old and new friends as the mingling of guests grew to 30 in size.

The lights flickered and we were told to find a seat in anticipation of the main event. Our honorary guest was momentarily missing so a couple of quick speeches from Jules and Ulan filled our ears in thanks and appreciation of our hosts and the important people who inspire events such as this. Once we were all present and accounted for Jackie gave her thanks for the evening and we were all welcomed by the Lucky Girl Documentary for the first time. Bits of laughter, engaging faces and even tears were seen from the audience. We were taken on a journey into the sound life and strange love of Jackie and Art. Our ears were happily humming from the brilliance that was played for us. And after all was experienced there was a moment of silence followed by a roaring of congratulations. A success.

Discussions started to articulate through the basement, the hot topic being the documentary we just watched. Great feedback and observations were made all around the room. Business cards were exchanged, hugs were delivered in good work and good wishes, introductions were extended and mingling continued with now what is to be considered as big talk. Slowly the guest count decreased when eyes got heavy and the decision to call it a night was in order.

A well paced evening!
