On April 1st 2012, Studio 1034 screened the short film “Flames of Tibet”. Lobsang Sang worked with TYS Media and Studio 1034 to create a semi-autobiographical narrative about the struggle of a young Tibetan who was forced to flee his country, escaping the tyrannical rule of the Chinese government. His love for his country and the belief that every person has the right to speak freely drives him to make the ultimate sacrifice.
The screening included more than 80 Tibetans, friends and interested local residents who were taken on a passionate ride of undocumented reality. Lobsang and his crew conducted a lengthy question and answer session at the conclusion of the film.many people wanted to see the film a second time and Lobsang accommodated by screening it two additional times in order for everyone to see it all the way through.
Traditional Tibetan food was brought to the potluck for all to enjoy. The screening was a resounding success enjoyed by all.
